Saturday: SATURDAY CONCERT Sunday: GUITAR MASTER CLASS PERCUSSION MASTER CLASS SPONSOR'S PARTY SUNDAY CONCERT The Band: The Lost Dogs have stood the test of time to be counted among the best songwriters and musicians in the business, known for their beautiful three-part harmonies, guitar expertise, and the easy, down-to-earth banter that reflects their individual, yet highly complimentary, personalities. After a long hiatus working with our original bands and other projects the band is excited to join forces to tour this summer, playing many of their hits from past to present. The Lost Dogs (Terry Scott Taylor, Michael Roe, Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong) are front men of their own bands (DA, The 77’s, and The Choir respectively), since 1991 they’ve also been pooling their talents in a unique collaborative style. Over the past thirty-plus years, these veteran travelers have separately and collectively performed innumerable concerts throughout America and Europe and produced a number of critically acclaimed albums as a group. For many years music insiders and critics, along with a steadily growing number of fans around the world, have recognized The Lost Dogs as individually brilliant singer/songwriters and storytellers. They join musical skill and style reminiscent of the traditional American roots songs of Oh Brother Where Art Thou with a distinctive narrative delivery that might be described as Lake Wobegon meets Hank Williams meets Jim Carrey. In 2008 they traveled down Route 66, connecting with locals along the way and writing songs, releasing the critically acclaimed album, Old Angel, in 2009. Over the years each “Dog” has developed many solo and band recordings. Among the stylistically diverse projects written and performed by the individuals are everything from CBS and Nickelodeon cartoon themes to award winning music created for Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks’ very first interactive video game. The guys have also worked with Americana artists Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris and Mary Gauthier. A Lost Dogs performance is at once keenly observational, charmingly eccentric, funny, poignant, and profoundly moving. For years, the Dogs have quietly dazzled the folk/country underground with their unique talents. Each year brings them more recognition and critical acclaim, and they have most recently been invited to share the bill with such diverse musicians as George Jones, Dierks Bentley, Delbert McClinton and Weird Al. Experiencing The Lost Dogs live and in person is a memorable experience for one and all, suitable for all ages. More about the band here: www.thelostdogs.com . |
